How Does GLOBALINX® VoIP Work?
GLOBALINX® service uses the power of the Internet to make and receive phone calls. This is known as Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP. VoIP uses a high speed Internet connection (broadband) to turn voice into data and then send it over the Internet. Calls sound just like you’re used to with traditional phone service, but there’s no high local or long distance charges to pay!
Requirements to use GLOBALINX®
- A high-speed Internet connection - broadband, like cable or DSL
- A touchtone phone - any style touchtone phone will work (only required with phone adapter)
- A GLOBALINX® phone adapter or Video Application
